zinnias
as you can see from my last post (i took that picture at the farmer's market on saturday) i'm on a big zinnia kick. they aren't expensive and are so vibrant and colorful. event just a few looks incredibly festive. they mix well with gerbera daisies, roses, peonies, you name it! and i think i also love them because they come in orange! here are a few examples!

morning light
the photos of desks and bedside tables from morning light in my room make me swoon. the best thing about it is, they all seem connected in one way or another. i wish i could creatively rearrange like this! and also, the "morning light" in all of these photos really is stunning!xx

this flower arrangement is stunning. i particularly love the vase. it reminds me of pieces made by family friends of mine who are potters in vermont. i think their work is beautiful and you check them out on etsy.. oak bluffs pottery

dream wedding
i want this wedding. except instead of in pennsylvania..in the berkshires. it's casual but still very classy and elegant. i love love love the lawn games and the old brick house and the informal flower arrangements. plus the little jars of jam as gifts for the guests its adorable, and the vintage bicycles make such a neat backdrop. ahh amazing. ps this photographer, kate headley is amazing. check out her site. kate headley photography

tablescapes. WOOF.
i love bedside tables, pretty desks and coffee tables. i think books, fresh flowers, funky lamps and other knick knacks always dress up these practical home furnishings. mine never quite look as lovely as the ones i see online, but i can try. these are some of my favorite examples.

milk bottles
while at the grocery store yesterday, shopping for ingredients to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (thanks L for the recipe), i stumbled upon a glass milk bottle! in 2009! talk about a relic from the past. it was only 2.50 for a pretty large bottle, so i had to buy it. milk always disappears quickly in our apartment and i knew i would have great use for the bottle when it was empty. i think i'll use it as a vase, here are some inspirational pictures that i found this morning.

cans are the new jars
i am so over mason jars. vintage cans as vases are even cooler. though i didn't think that was possible. now if only i could find some of these..instead of my nasty fat-free baked beans and canned corn cans that i recycle weekly. that last sentence makes me sound like a beast. muahaha.

ps i am not over mason jars, nor will i ever be.
