kitchen covets

i'm trying to get into cooking (don't worry i'm making progress) and i think these fun gadgets from around the web would just be such fun, colorful additions to my kitchen. what do you think?

i wish i could cook

i have made several attempts of getting "into cooking". sometimes i have succeeded, and sometimes i have failed. okay, most times i have failed. most recently i attempted baking ina garten's brownies and ended up with a pan of brown mush that no one wanted to eat. better luck next time. maybe these beautiful cookbooks would help inspire me?

p.s. these cookbooks are all from anthropologie

so this weekend i'm going to visit my mom to shop for dresses to wear for my brother's wedding. initially we were going to head to the king of prussia mall which has every possible store you could think of. but then i remembered a little secret a friend told me about a few months back. the company that owns anthropologie, urban outfitters and free people (some of my favorite stores to shop in) also have created a garden and home store called terrain. it has unbelievable stuff like hammered tin lanterns, organic soaps, cookbooks and you get my drift..beautiful things i can't afford and mostly have no need for in new york. but that does not stifle my excitment by any means! and there is a cafe! i think i'll be having the dayboat scallops with a side of mushroom risotto. xx
