getting that sh** done

last week was a tough week workout wise. i knew i would be gone for the weekend (more on that later) so that i would have to squeeze all my workouts in during the week. i do not like doing that. but, i have found two ways that really help me get it done. one is quite obvious. i set out everything i am going to need to the next morning's work out, so i can literally throw it on with my eyes closed when the alarm beeps at 5AM.

the other way i fit in a workout is to don this sweet fanny pack. i run home from work usually about once a week. i bring an old bag to work with my workout clothes in it, change at work and leave my stuff there. i can fit my phone and my work id/debit card in this sweet little fit belt, and that's really all i need to take with me. it is genius. i think people at work think i am a nutjob when i leave the office with us (don't worry i don't put it on until i am hiding in the bushes away from all the investment bankers). but it's great, it doesn't bounce much at all, and is really comfy. i have the nathan water belt too, but that is less comfortable, though they serve different purposes. (please note, neither of those purposes are to make you look cool).
the other great way to get in a workout during the week is to sign up for a race! actually, to be honest this race sucked and it was so crowded (i think 17,000 people) and you couldn't really run much any way, but it was still a 3.5 mile somewhat hilly course. it was also so much fun to get to exercise with co-workers!
