i already miss new england. so..i'm back from my first real world vacation. and it was everything i had imagined. i am now covered in bug bites, my skin is a few shades darker, and i might even be a tiny bit better at wiffleball. okay well that last part is a lie. but i'm back in new york, and for the first time since i've lived here, i'm not thrilled to be back. being in new england and in the "country", if you will, made me realize how much i love it up there. it's much more my style. read: subarus, jcrew shorts, red sox, allagash white and barefeet. not that i don't love new york, but being away made me realize what i didn't like: attempting to be "trendy", waiting for the subway, expensive cocktails, never having the opportunity to go barefoot, exorbitant rent etc. etc. but then again, it's home for me for now, so i better make the best of it..
