today in new york it's about 90 degrees and the air is stagnant and sticky. i'm craving some gelato. though the best of the best is certainly found in italy, philadelphia's gelato shop "capogiro" truly comes in a close second. my favorite flavor is pistachio. just to torment myself, i checked the flavors they have today and they include: mango champagne, thai coconut milk, and of course classics like stracciatella and bacio. they even use organic produce from lancaster county! i'm drooling just thinking about an icy scoop right now.
